Ma’s Journey and How It Shaped My Life’s Work

Hello Friends,
I wanted to take a moment to share the true inspiration behind Barton Publishing.
This is a deeply personal story that has greatly impacted my life goals and mission and played a significant role in shaping my perspective on life.
It all began in 1980 when my younger sister was born.
My mom started experiencing dizziness and unexplained spells of vertigo. Despite multiple doctor visits, she was never diagnosed with anything specific, but she always felt like the room was spinning and had trouble walking more than 10 or 15 steps without feeling dizzy.
In fact, this led to her feeling uncomfortable in crowds, and even at church, where she had to start sitting in the last row to feel in control of her environment.
In 1992, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, which was a scary time for our family. She underwent a mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation, but thankfully she made it through.
However, in 2009, the cancer returned, and it had spread to lymph nodes and a bone, and she was given a year to live. As a result, Ma began researching natural alternative treatments to help with her health.
That’s when we went to San Diego and met with a biochemist who knew everything about cancer treatments. We got some over-the-counter drugs from pharmacies in Mexico that we couldn’t get in the US. My mom also went on a 42-day juice fast, and her tumor markers went down significantly. She lived for five more years, and during that time, she chose not to do chemo and radiation but continued with alternative treatments.
My mom passed away in 2014, but the lessons I learned from her journey have stuck with me to this day. I’ve seen firsthand the power of natural remedies, and it’s inspired me to pursue a career helping others find natural, safe, and effective remedies for their ailments as well.
Although the journey has not always been easy, I thank God and my Ma every day for giving me the life and inspiration to continue this work.
And thank you for allowing me and my family to be a part of your journey now as well. I know that changes are not always easy, and I know that it takes some time to truly see results…
But I truly believe that you can do it – and through our help, persistence, and God’s guidance, anything is possible.
To your hope and healing,
Joe Barton
