[9:20] What happens with stress. You release Cortisol out of your adrenal glands when you are stressed. It blocks your insulin receptors so that your blood sugar cannot drop too low. Your brain needs the energy, so your blood sugar goes up.

[10:45] What about constant stress/fight or flight reaction? You're getting insulin resistant all the time. Stress doesn't really cause any of these, but it does make it worse. Stress does make everything worse.

[11:50] What is stress? Mostly it's Change that causes stress. People who resist change are in constant stress & anxiety.

[14:50] One stressor doesn't necessary go away immediately. Change can affect us differently. Sometimes our stress hormone levels stay high for days, weeks, months, or even years.

[16:20]. Can you avoid stress and do you want to avoid stress? We need stress, and we need cortisol.
